Importance of overheating and supercooling in the refrigeration system of evaporators DL, DD and DJ and condensers FNH, FNH,FNV,FNVT.

Overheating and supercooling are two key parameters that determine the normal operation of any industrial refrigeration circuit. Improper adjustment will lead to performance loss, high consumption and premature wear of compressor, evaporator and condenser.

Overheating is the temperature difference between the refrigerant vapor at the evaporator outlet and the evaporation temperature at the same pressure. For DL, DD and xindacool DJ evaporators, the recommended target value is between 5 K and 7 K..

If the overheating is too low, there is a risk that the coolant will return to the compressor. Liquid will not be compressed, it will produce liquid impact, damage the valves and bearings of the compressor, and may destroy it within a few hours.

When it is overheated, only a part of the evaporator surface carries out effective heat exchange. The cooling capacity decreased, the frost formed concentrated in a small area, and the power consumption increased by as much as 21%. This problem is often caused by improper adjustment of expansion valve.

On the other hand, supercooling measures the cooling degree of coolant in FNH,FNV or FNVT condenser below its condensation temperature. The ideal range of these devices is between 3K and 6K.

Insufficient subcooling is beneficial to the appearance of steam bubbles before expansion valve. This reduces the refrigerant flow into the evaporator and significantly reduces the refrigeration power of the whole system. Too much supercooling usually indicates that the refrigerant is overloaded in the circuit.

Many installers only check the pressure without measuring the actual temperature to calculate overheating and supercooling. According to the technical records of xindacool, more than 41% of in-service equipment have serious mismatch in these two parameters.

The adjustment of expansion valve directly affects overheating. Valves should not be replaced under unstable operating conditions; You must wait for the refrigerator to reach a stable working temperature.

Overheating and supercooling values vary with outdoor ambient temperature and heat load. Therefore, there is no single setting applicable to all operating conditions.

FAQ
What is the recommended superheat value of DL, DD and DJ evaporators? The optimum range is 5K to 7K.
What risks will overheating and low temperature bring? Coolant return and liquid impact seriously damage the compressor.
What is the low temperature range of condensers FNH, FNH,FNV,FNVT? The ideal value is between 3K and 6K.
What if there is not enough cooling? Steam bubbles are generated on the liquid line, and the cooling power is reduced.
Can the expansion valve be adjusted with the camera at unstable temperature? No, we have to wait for the system to work under stable conditions.
